Outside Sales Representative – Automated Gate

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
• Meet with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional customers to assess project requirements.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Conduct site visits and recommend suitable automated gate and access control solutions.
• Coordinate projects with customers, vendors, and the installation team.
• Assist with purchasing and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Support inventory planning and order management.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and relevant regulations.
• Attend trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings as required.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
• Perform other sales and operations-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, account management, project coordination, or operations.
• Experience in construction, fencing, building materials, security systems, garage doors, electrical, industrial products, or related industries is an asset.
• Automation or access control experience is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for client visits.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
