Outside Sales Representative

Anchorfish Printing & Embroidery is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our business throughout Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend.

This is a 1099 independent contractor, commission based sales position with a flexible, self directed schedule. Most administrative work can be performed from home, but this is a local sales position for someone who enjoys getting out into the community, meeting businesses and organizations, networking, and developing long term customer relationships.

Anchorfish provides screen printing, embroidery, DTF printing, promotional products, banners and signage, online merchandise stores, fulfillment, and live event printing.

What You'll Do

• Generate new business throughout Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend
• Develop relationships with businesses, schools, universities, municipalities, nonprofits, restaurants, hospitality businesses, events, organizations, and community groups
• Prospect for new customers through networking, email, phone, social media, referrals, in person visits, and community involvement
• Identify opportunities for custom apparel, embroidery, promotional products, signage, merchandise stores, fulfillment, and live event printing
• Meet with customers and prospective customers throughout the territory
• Learn about each customer's organization and identify ongoing merchandise and apparel opportunities
• Follow up consistently with prospects and existing customers
• Develop repeat business rather than focusing solely on one time orders
• Work with our estimating and production teams to develop quotes and turn opportunities into orders
• Maintain customer and sales information in Printavo
• Represent Anchorfish professionally throughout the Coastal Bend
• Attend local networking opportunities, meetings, and events when beneficial to developing business

Compensation

30% commission on gross profit from eligible sales

There is no cap on commission earnings.

Gross profit is calculated from the customer sale price minus the direct costs associated with producing the order.

Sales representatives can continue earning commission from repeat business generated by the accounts they develop while they remain actively managing those accounts for Anchorfish.

Commission Example

A customer places a $5,000 order.

Direct job costs are $3,000.

Gross profit is $2,000.

30% commission = $600

The goal of this position is to build a recurring book of customers, so earning potential can increase as you establish more ongoing accounts.

Territory

This position covers Corpus Christi and the entire Coastal Bend region, including surrounding communities.

Candidates should live in or have strong familiarity with the Coastal Bend and be comfortable traveling locally for customer meetings, prospecting, networking, and events.

Schedule

This is a self-directed independent contractor position.

You determine how you organize your schedule and sales activities.

Successfully developing the territory will generally require approximately 20–30 hours of sales and business development activity per week.

The majority of administrative work, prospecting, follow-up, and customer communication can be performed remotely.

• Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and in person
• Familiar with Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend
• Active or interested in becoming active within the local business community
• Motivated by commission based earning potential
• Interested in building a long term book of recurring customers

Experience

Previous sales experience is preferred, but printing industry experience is not required.

Experience in any of the following can be especially helpful:

• B2B relationship sales

A candidate with an established network of relationships throughout the Coastal Bend could be especially successful in this position.

Independent Contractor Position

This position is structured as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity and is not a salaried or hourly employee position.

Compensation is commission based.
