Outside Sales Representative – Home Improvement

Job Summary

Scott's Seamless Gutters is an established Lafayette-area gutter company with approximately 30 years in business. We are looking for experienced, self-motivated outside sales representatives who know how to generate their own leads and close their own sales.

This is not a position where you sit and wait for leads to be handed to you. We are looking for people who are comfortable prospecting neighborhoods, knocking doors, networking, developing referrals, contacting contractors and property owners, and finding new business.

Experience in roofing, gutters, windows, siding, fencing, solar, HVAC, pest control, or other residential home-improvement sales is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Generate your own residential and commercial leads
• Prospect neighborhoods and contact homeowners and businesses
• Build relationships with roofers, contractors, real estate professionals and property managers
• Meet customers at their property
• Measure and evaluate gutter projects
• Prepare estimates using company pricing guidelines
• Follow up with potential customers
• Negotiate and close your own sales
• Maintain professional communication with customers from estimate through sale

Compensation

This is a performance-based sales position with no guaranteed salary or hourly wage. Your earnings are based on the business you generate and the jobs you successfully sell. Strong producers have the opportunity to earn significantly more by generating and closing more business.

Who We're Looking For

We want a self-starter and closer, not someone who needs a list of leads every morning. You should be comfortable approaching people, creating opportunities and asking for the sale.

Prior outside sales or home-improvement sales experience is preferred. Gutter experience is helpful but not required. We can teach an experienced salesperson how to estimate gutters.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
