About the job

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct interaction with the assigned clients (whatever their sector and size).
• Preparation, analysis, and review of the clients’ general accounting (suppliers, clients, accounting entries, provisions, prepayments, banks, fixed assets) on month-end and year-end closing.
• Preparation of reporting, analytical accounting, treasury forecasts, as well as any additional information requested by the client.
• Preparation of the necessary documentation and information to compile and present the recurrent obligations of the clients.
• Assist in the preparation of clients’ management reports, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Support the preparation of annual accounts and official books.
• Support the automation, standardization, and improvement of internal accounting processes.
• Support in any of the functional areas defined in the department, depending on their skills.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks or matters assigned by the Superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finances or a related field. Postgraduate studies will be positively valued.
• At least 1 year of working experience in accounting.
• Good oral and written communication in English, other languages would be an asset.
• Interest and ability to multi-task in a multi-disciplinary and international environment.
• Meticulous and conscientious with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Well-organised with a structured approach to work.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Exposition to multi-cultural teams.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP
