OutSystems Cloud Developer | WFH | 2-Mos. Contract

We are looking for an experienced OutSystems Cloud Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure applications using the OutSystems platform. The role will focus on application development, cloud-based integrations, secure API connectivity, and modern authentication mechanisms, particularly OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with OutSystems development, REST API integration, authentication and authorization, and cloud-based identity solutions. This is a WFH role, providing flexibility while supporting enterprise-grade application and integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities

OutSystems Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Develop scalable and maintainable solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Configure and enhance application components, integrations, and workflows within the OutSystems environment.
• Troubleshoot application issues and implement appropriate fixes and improvements.
• Follow development standards and best practices to ensure application quality and maintainability.

OAuth 2.0 & Authentication

• Implement and configure OAuth 2.0 authentication flows, including:

  • Authorization Code
  • Client Credentials
  • PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange)

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms within applications.

• Manage and validate access tokens and ensure appropriate token handling practices.

• Support integration with Identity Providers (IdPs) such as OneLogin.

• Work with OpenID Connect (OIDC) and "Single Sign-On" (SSO) concepts.

• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, token, and access-related issues.

API & Cloud Integration

• Develop and consume secure REST APIs.
• Integrate OutSystems applications with external systems, services, and APIs.
• Work with JSON, HTTP protocols, and API-based integrations.
• Apply secure API communication and access control practices.
• Understand and work with API Gateway concepts and integration patterns.
• Ensure reliable and secure communication between applications and external services.

Security & Quality

• Apply application security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Implement appropriate token management, validation, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
• Identify and address potential security risks in application and API integrations.
• Ensure solutions follow established development, security, and integration standards.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Practical experience implementing OAuth 2.0 flows such as Authorization Code, Client Credentials, and PKCE.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols.
• Experience integrating applications with Identity Providers (IdPs), such as OneLogin.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, access tokens, refresh tokens, and SSO.
• Familiarity with API Gateway concepts.
