Position Summary

The Oven Operator reports to the production supervisor and is a key member of our “Julio’s Family. This position’s primary role is monitor and adjust baking ovens to ensure corn chips are baked to specifications.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for following all food safety policies and procedures, current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), SSOP’s and HACCP plan
• Records oven procedures on the daily checklist.
• Operates Oven
• Adjusts oven temperature accordingly.
• Monitors chain oil amounts
• Assists in other positions as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- WILL TRAIN

• Excellent communication skills (including listening, writing, speaking) required.
• Strong Organizational skills required.
• Ability to perform math (add, divide, fractions, percentages).
• Ability to conduct on-going interpersonal interactions, analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the ability to navigate and research the Internet.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or general education degree preferred but not required.

Working Environment:

• Manufacturing environment in a food manufacturing facility.
• High ambient temperatures
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as non-slip footwear, hairnets, beard nets and ear protection.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and move heavy materials up to a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Employees will be subject to dust, noise, and odor.
• The physical activity of this position includes, but is limited to routine walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and visual activity.

Monday - Friday 7 am to 3 pm

Occasionally Weekends
