Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Oven Operator/Inside Help to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating ovens and assisting with various inside production tasks to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality output. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and eager to learn about metal fabrication and machining processes.

Duties

• Operate industrial ovens for heating, curing, or drying materials according to specified parameters.
• Assist with setup, calibration, and maintenance of machinery such as press brakes, CNC milling machines, lathes, and plasma cutters.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to support fabrication and assembly processes.
• Use measuring instruments and precision tools to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Support the safe operation of shop equipment by adhering to safety protocols and standards in production environments.
• Help with material handling using forklifts or hand tools to move sheet metal or fabricated components.
• Assist in the assembly of metal parts, ensuring proper fit and finish according to specifications.

Skills

• Experience with machine operation including CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Mechanical knowledge related to machining tools setup, safety standards in manufacturing, and quality control procedures.
• Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols in production environments along with the ability to follow safety standards diligently.
