Position Overview

We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector to perform safety inspections and certifications on cranes and rigging equipment at customer sites. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring equipment safety and compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to conduct inspections on:
• Overhead cranes
• Jib cranes
• Gantry cranes
• Monorail cranes
• Perform inspections on a scheduled basis: annual, bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly.
• Conduct rigging inspections on customer equipment including slings, chains, shackles, etc.
• Perform load test certifications for cranes as required.
• Identify and communicate any code violations to customers clearly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications.
• Foster and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers while on-site.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in crane and rigging inspection or a related field strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable safety codes and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ASME, CMAA).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and inspection criteria.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites (local and regional travel required).
• Certification in crane inspection (preferred but not required—training can be provided for the right candidate).
