Overhead Distribution Linesperson

About the role

Power Team Electrical Pty Ltd is seeking experienced and qualified Overhead Distribution Linespersons to join our Distribution Lines team. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused and reliable Linesperson to work on the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution networks, helping to ensure a safe and reliable supply of electricity to customers. The successful applicants will work as part of an experienced field crew across both planned and unplanned works, while adhering to all relevant procedures, network standards, client requirements and legislative obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Construction and maintenance of overhead distribution networks
• Installation, replacement and maintenance of poles, crossarms, conductors and associated network hardware
• Carrying out planned and unplanned distribution network works
• Working safely at heights and from elevated work platforms
• Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and potential safety issues
• Following SWMS, safe work procedures, network standards and client requirements
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and quality
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet project requirements
• Maintaining a strong focus on personal, team and public safety

About you

• Current UET30621 – Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Overhead

• Current High Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform (WP)

• Current Construction Industry White Card

• Current Western Power Network Access Card (NAC)

• Demonstrated experience working safely on distribution and/or transmission networks

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

• Desirable: HV/LV Cable Jointing qualifications, C2 Crane and Rigging qualifications, MR manual driver's licence, HR driver's licence or willingness/ability to upgrade to HR, Additional relevant electrical, linework or network qualifications
