Shield Defense Agency is currently building a professional team of Armed Security Agents with the award of a major armed security services contract within the City of St. Louis.

Available Shifts

Overnight Shift

• 7:00 PM-7:00 AM

Coverage is required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including weekends and holidays. Agents work a Panama schedule.

• Armed Security

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence.
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Monitor access points and respond to security incidents.
• Prepare detailed Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
• De-escalate conflicts using sound judgment and professionalism.
• Assist emergency responders when necessary.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and the public.
• Enforce client policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid St. Louis City Armed Security License (or ability to obtain prior to assignment)
• Valid Missouri driver's license or state-issued identification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Military, law enforcement, corrections, or professional security experience
• Possess a current armed license
• Possess a firearm
• CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
• De-escalation and crisis intervention training
• Experience writing incident reports
• Customer service experience
