Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical inspections to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities, authorize entry, and monitor all visitors, contractors, and employees entering or exiting the premises.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by executing emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and incident containment.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future reference.
• Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as required, ensuring compliance with security regulations and company policies.
• Utilize law enforcement techniques when necessary to de-escalate conflicts, manage disputes, or handle suspicious behavior professionally.
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), heavy lifting tools for manual handling tasks, and CCTV cameras for continuous monitoring.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security roles with a focus on surveillance, law enforcement support, or military service preferred.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid certification (CPR/AED) and familiarity with fire safety protocols.
• Skilled in conflict management, conflict de-escalation techniques, and performing background checks for personnel or visitors.
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV operation, incident report writing, and compliance with security regulations is essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining alertness during overnight shifts.
• Prior experience working with law enforcement agencies or military personnel is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
