Responsibilities

• Will be inside or outside the store patrolling and ensuring the safety of others.
• Manage access control by verifying identities, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols, AED operation, first aid and CPR administration, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences with clarity and accuracy for future review.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies while maintaining safety standards.
• Utilize law enforcement knowledge when needed to assist with law enforcement coordination or investigations related to security incidents.
• Maintain compliance with all security regulations by adhering to company policies, conducting regular patrols, and managing loss prevention measures effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in physical security roles or military service with a strong understanding of surveillance techniques and security operations.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with Taser and firearm handling preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough screening processes as part of access control responsibilities.
• Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting, long patrols, and manual handling tasks comfortably during overnight shifts.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and conflict management strategies.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict de-escalation abilities to handle visitor inquiries or disputes professionally.
• Commitment to compliance with all security regulations and company policies ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors alike.
