Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Overnight Veterinary Assistant to support our urgent care team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and enjoys working with both traditional and exotic patients. The successful candidate will have experience and education with dogs and cats, with exotic patient experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with urgent and emergency exams, procedures, and treatments
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including feeding and administering medications
• Obtain vital signs and assist with laboratory diagnostics and radiology
• Communicate clearly with clients during urgent situations
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Support the team during overnight emergencies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with dogs and cats required; exotic experience preferred
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes and species
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced urgent care environment
• Willingness to work overnight shifts
• Commitment to professionalism and high-quality patient care
