About the role
We are seeking an Overseas Business Development professional to join our team in a full-time capacity, based in Pathumwan, Bangkok. This is a strategic role that will be instrumental in expanding Gunkul Engineering's presence in international markets. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing partnerships, and establishing revenue streams in overseas territories. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the company's global growth strategy and contribute significantly to the organisation's long-term success.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse international market opportunities aligned with Gunkul Engineering's core competencies in engineering and project management
• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies for target overseas markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders in international markets
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess opportunities and competitive landscapes in new territories
• Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to secure new business contracts and partnerships
• Negotiate and structure commercial agreements and contracts with overseas clients and partners
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction on international assignments
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and threats
• Represent Gunkul Engineering at international industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and progress towards targets

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Commerce, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in business development, project management, or similar roles within the engineering or construction sectors
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities in international markets
• Strong knowledge of engineering project delivery, particularly in infrastructure or industrial sectors
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with experience in international commercial dealings
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills (particularly Asian languages) are highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional networks and relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strategic thinking abilities
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience in Southeast Asian or Asian markets would be advantageous
• Willingness to travel internationally as required for business development activities
