Overseas purchasing Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Overseas Purchasing Manager to join T.V.F. (2002) CO., LTD. in our Chatuchak Bangkok office. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As Overseas Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing international procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal inventory levels across our global supply chain. This strategic role directly impacts our operational efficiency, cost management and business profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and establish relationships with overseas suppliers and vendors to meet procurement requirements
• Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with international suppliers to achieve cost-effective and competitive procurement outcomes
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods from overseas sources to meet production schedules
• Monitor supplier performance, quality standards and compliance with company specifications and requirements
• Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to arrange transportation and manage import documentation and customs clearance
• Maintain accurate records of overseas purchases, inventory levels and supplier information
• Analyse market trends, pricing fluctuations and supplier capabilities to optimise procurement strategies
• Collaborate with internal departments including production, finance and warehouse management to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs and legal requirements for overseas purchasing
• Report on procurement activities, cost savings and supplier performance metrics to management

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in overseas or international purchasing and procurement within the manufacturing or logistics sector
• Strong knowledge of international trade practices, import/export procedures, customs documentation and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation and contract management with overseas vendors
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP software and inventory management tools
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Excellent communication skills in English and Thai; additional languages are advantageous
• Sound understanding of cost analysis, budgeting and financial management within procurement operations
• Experience in quality control and assurance within supply chain management
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of logistics, shipping and freight forwarding processes is preferred
