Overseas Purchasing Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage and plan the overseas procurement of textile, fabric, and bedding products in alignment with the company's objectives and budget.
2. Source, evaluate, select, and develop overseas suppliers, including comparing pricing, quality, and commercial terms.
3. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions to achieve the best value for the organization.
4. Oversee the end-to-end overseas purchasing process, including production follow-up, shipment monitoring, and import operations.
5. Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and business partners to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
6. Control and review import-export documentation and coordinate with shipping companies, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
7. Travel internationally for product sourcing, factory visits, supplier audits, and relationship development.
8. Develop and manage Home Bedding and Home Textile product categories in both domestic and international markets, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Textile Engineering, Home Textiles, Merchandising, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in overseas procurement, sourcing, or the textile industry (Textile, Garment, or Home Textile).
3. Good command of English in both spoken and written communication. Chinese language proficiency will be an advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of textile materials, including fiber types, fabric construction, GSM (fabric weight), dyeing, printing, and textile manufacturing processes.
5. Experience in purchasing fabrics, garment accessories, or Home Bedding/Home Textile products is highly preferred.
6. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with knowledge of import-export procedures, customs clearance, and Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW).
7. Solid understanding of international shipping processes, customs regulations, and coordination with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
8. Able to travel overseas for business purposes.
9. Existing supplier networks within the textile or home textile industry will be a significant advantage.
