Owner

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Owner role based at Vélo Factory in Razam. The Owner oversees daily operations of the bicycle workshop and retail space, including managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers. Responsibilities include setting business goals, monitoring financial performance, managing budgets, and making decisions on pricing, product selection, and vendor relationships. The Owner leads local marketing and community engagement efforts, builds relationships with cycling organizations and customers, and maintains high service quality standards. This role also involves handling key administrative tasks such as compliance with local regulations, contract review, and basic human resources functions.

Qualifications

• Strong business management skills, including budgeting, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
• Experience in operations management and process improvement within a retail, workshop, or service environment.
• Ability to lead and develop a team, with skills in scheduling, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Customer service skills, including clear communication, problem-solving, and relationship building.
• Comfort with basic marketing activities, such as local outreach, social media presence, and promotions.
• Knowledge of bicycles, parts, and repair services, or a strong willingness to learn the technical aspects of the business.
• Organizational skills to manage inventory, supplier coordination, and maintenance of shop equipment.
• Ability to make timely decisions, prioritize tasks, and work on-site in Razam during standard business hours and weekends as needed.
• Prior experience owning or managing a small business is beneficial.
• Relevant education or training in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage but not required.
