Join our dynamic team as an Owner Operator, where you will be the driving force behind delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. As an independent contractor, you’ll leverage your expertise in commercial truck driving to manage your own operations while ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. This role offers the opportunity to operate a range of specialized equipment, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other freight carriers, providing flexible routes and consistent work. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations with meticulous attention to safety protocols.
• Manage logistics cargo handling, including securing loads properly for safe transit and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure trucks meet all safety standards and are compliant with FMCSA regulations.
• Deliver freight promptly while maintaining excellent customer service during pick-up and delivery processes, including route driving and delivery driving tasks.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driving, load & unload operations, and route driving in various environments.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation, flatbed handling, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or other specialized equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety procedures for manual transmission trucks.
• Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes; forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and adherence to traffic laws.
