Duties

• Operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to pick up and deliver goods across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities.
• Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery updates, and communication with dispatch teams.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Follow warehouse operations procedures when handling materials or assisting with moving tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on safe driving practices.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT compliance, and weight handling in the workplace.
• Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for larger trucks).
• Experience using mobile devices for route management and communication is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently throughout shifts.
