Owner Operator Delivery Driver

Position: Owner Operator (Independent Courier Contractor)

Location: Based out of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL

Route Coverage: Grand Falls, Lewisporte, and Gander

Start Date: October 2026

Reports To: Branch Manager

ICS Courier is seeking a motivated independent Owner Operator for the delivery and pickup of material along a designated route encompassing Grand Falls, Lewisporte, and Gander.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan and pack material for daily delivery.

• Deliver and pick up material to and from customers within indicated timeframes.

• Scan all barcoded material at customer locations and obtain required signatures.

• Ensure all evening pickups are safely returned to the depot at the end of the day.

• Prepare and turn in all required paperwork and invoices daily.

• Maintain a high level of customer service in accordance with ICS Courier standards.

Mandatory Qualifications & Business Credentials:

• Vehicle: Must provide a personal minivan for use on the route.

• Auto Insurance: Insured for courier/delivery use with a minimum $2 million 3rd-party liability coverage (Certificate holder named as ICS Courier, along with SEF 44 endorsement).

• Commercial General Liability: $2 million PLPD including SEF 96 coverage, showing ICS Courier as an additional insured.

• Cargo Insurance: Motor Truck Cargo / Truckmen’s Liability ($5,000 minimum).

• Workers' Compensation: Valid WCB / WorkplaceNL Insurance.

• Legal: Valid Business Registration name and number.

• Screening: Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and a clear criminal background check.

• Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, with adherence to all aspects of the collective agreement.

Contract & Operational Terms:

• Invoicing: Invoices must be provided to the supervisor daily.

• Payment structure: Payments are based on a gross contract wage with no tax deductions (with the exception of union dues, where applicable).

• Route Ownership: All customers on the contracted route are owned by ICS Courier and must be serviced at the times required by ICS.

• Coverage & Absences: Any route coverage required (vacation, sickness, vehicle downtime, etc.) is the sole responsibility of the contractor. ICS Courier will not provide backup coverage for this route.
