Job Summary

Duties

• Safely operate a Sprinter van or personal vehicle to complete scheduled delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Load and unload packages.
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and handle customer interactions professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during all driving activities.
• Use mobile devices and route management software to navigate routes efficiently, track deliveries, and communicate with dispatch teams.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to weight handling guidelines in the workplace when managing cargo loads, ensuring safe load distribution and securement.

Experience

• Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving, courier services, or box truck operations.
• Warehouse experience including material handling, moving goods, or operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating vans or box trucks; commercial truck driving certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not required; ability to operate manual handling equipment safely is essential.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices in accordance with workplace safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while managing multiple deliveries efficiently.
• Understanding of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safe driving practices.
