Overview
We are seeking a Senior Owner's Representative Project Manager to support one of the largest hyperscale data center developments in North America. This individual will act as the owner's representative throughout the full project lifecycle, providing oversight across design, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
This role is ideal for a senior construction professional who has successfully delivered large-scale data center projects from "dirt to done" and understands how to influence project outcomes while partnering effectively with developers, contractors, consultants, and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the owner's interests throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Provide oversight of schedule, cost, quality, risk, and construction execution.
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks, delays, and budget impacts.
- Coordinate with developers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and commissioning teams.
- Review and analyze project schedules, change orders, budget forecasts, and progress reports.
- Lead owner-side reporting and communicate project status to senior leadership.
- Oversee commissioning planning, turnover activities, and operational readiness.
- Ensure alignment between design intent, construction execution, and business objectives.
- Drive accountability while maintaining strong working relationships with project partners.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of construction project management experience.
- Direct data center construction experience is required.
- Experience delivering hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facilities.
- Prior Owner's Representative, Owner-Side PM, Client-Side PM, or similar experience.
- Proven success leading projects from design through commissioning and turnover.
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction management
- Cost control and forecasting
- Schedule management
- Change management
- Risk management
- Commissioning and handover
- Experience overseeing entire projects or campuses, not just individual disciplines such as electrical or mechanical scopes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Large campus or multi-building data center experience.
- Experience supporting major technology clients.
- Background with firms such as CBRE, JLL, Linesight, Turner & Townsend, AECOM, Jacobs, Mortenson, DPR, Holder, or similar organizations.
- PMP, PE, CCM, or related certifications.
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate will have a track record of leading complex data center projects from early planning through final turnover while serving as a trusted advisor to ownership teams. They will possess the technical expertise to evaluate construction progress, identify execution risks, and ensure successful project delivery without directly managing trade contractors.
This is a unique opportunity to support a multi-billion-dollar hyperscale development and play a key role in shaping one of the largest data center campuses currently under construction.
