Oyster Hatchery Technician (Batangas)

We are currently looking for Oyster Hatchery Assistant to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in tasks related to oyster culture in the hatchery, nursery and grow-out areas.

• Feeding of larvae and oyster seeds in the hatchery

• Regular cleaning and maintenance of larval rearing tanks, downweller and upweller systems

• Cleaning of baskets in the grow-out areas

• Monitoring growth in the nursery and grow-out areas

• Assist in the documentation processes and conduct of research and experiments with regards to oyster culture by technical staff

• Post-harvest processing of oysters (e.g. cleaning, shucking, depuration, cold chain maintenance of products, etc.)

• Preparation, repair, and maintenance of equipment used in the nursery, and grow-out areas

• Help in the maintenance and general upkeep of the hatchery

  Qualifications:

• A graduate of Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Technician, Biology, Environmental Science Course or other related field; Licensed is an advantage

• With at least one (1) year work experience in the same filed; preferably with experience in algae culture or have worked in a sterile bio-laboratory setting.

• Must be organized, detail oriented with good command of communication in verbal and written

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

• Preferably knows how to swim or at least be comfortable floating on water, with knowledge in bangka operation

• Willing to work in San Juan, Batangas.
