Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented P2P Accountant (Procure-to-Pay) to join a shared services environment in Bandar Utama. The successful candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable operations, invoice processing, payment activities, and month-end closing while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable tax regulations.

Candidates with experience in Shared Services Centres (SSC) or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), along with good Mandarin communication skills, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payment processing, GR/IR reconciliation, and P2P month-end closing.
• Process and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders (POs) and goods receipts (GRs).
• Handle invoice discrepancies, processing errors, and exception cases in accordance with company policies and tax regulations.
• Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with purchasing procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor outstanding items and resolve invoice and payment-related issues with internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Document exceptions and escalate unresolved issues to the AP Manager.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments in accordance with established service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient P2P operations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant Accounts Payable or P2P experience, preferably within an SSC or BPO or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in invoice processing, Travel & Expense (T&E), and payment operations.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP or SAP S/4HANA experience is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with an interest in process improvement and operational excellence.
• Candidates who can join within one month or earlier are preferred.
