Wiki Labs is a technology services company delivering enterprise infrastructure and managed operations for leading organizations across Southeast Asia. We are currently seeking an experienced P3 Database & Infrastructure Engineer to join our delivery team, responsible for the end-to-end physical implementation, configuration, and protection of mission-critical database and caching environments.

Role Summary

The P3 Database & Infrastructure Engineer operates at the intersection of hardware, databases, and data protection. You will be responsible for deploying enterprise server hardware (HPE and DELL), installing and configuring high-availability database environments (EDB Postgres, MySQL, Oracle DB), and managing distributed caching layers (Enterprise Redis). Additionally, you will engineer and enforce robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using Cohesity and NetBackup to guarantee data resilience.

Key Responsibilities

●      Database Implementation & Administration: Install, configure, and maintain EDB PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle Database environments, focusing on high-availability cluster setups, query optimization, and performance tuning.

●      In-Memory Data Grid Operations: Deploy and configure Enterprise Redis for distributed, high-performance caching and message brokering, ensuring optimal memory management and replication.

●      Hardware Provisioning & Management: Configure, rack, and administer enterprise-grade physical servers, specifically HPE (e.g., ProLiant, Synergy) and DELL (e.g., PowerEdge) infrastructure. Manage hardware lifecycles, firmware updates, and storage provisioning (RAID, SAN integration).

●      Enterprise Data Protection: Design, implement, and monitor backup policies and disaster recovery workflows utilizing Cohesity and Veritas NetBackup. Ensure all databases and configurations meet strict Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) SLAs.

●      System Hardening & Health Monitoring: Perform underlying OS configuration (RHEL/Linux) to support optimal database performance, configure system health monitoring, and execute version migrations or patching.

●      Troubleshooting & Escalation: Serve as the P3 technical escalation point for complex hardware failures, database bottlenecks, and backup restoration failures.

Requirements

Must-Have

●      Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical architecture and administration experience in a demanding enterprise IT or managed services environment.

●      Database Mastery: Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting EDB Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle DB from the ground up.

●      Redis Expertise: Practical experience managing Enterprise Redis configurations, clustering, and persistence settings.

●      Hardware Proficiency: Deep, hands-on experience with HPE and DELL enterprise server hardware, including out-of-band management interfaces (iLO, iDRAC).

●      Backup & Recovery: Strong administrative experience configuring backup jobs, storage targets, and recovery testing using Cohesity and NetBackup.

●      Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid Linux operating system skills, specifically in tuning OS parameters for heavy database workloads.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred Qualifications)

●      Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, HPE/DELL hardware certifications, Linux RHCSA/RHCE).

●      Experience utilizing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for configuration management and system hardening.

●      Previous experience supporting Tier-1 banking or financial services clients, with knowledge of industry compliance and security standards.
