Package Delivery Driver

Help launch our new local delivery team! Port City Go LLC is hiring dependable parcel-delivery drivers in the Statesville/Hickory and Salisbury/Kannapolis areas of North Carolina.

Schedule and vehicle

• Expected schedule: Monday through Saturday, approximately eight hours per day.
• Sunday work is optional. Drivers available to help cover Sunday routes are also needed.
• Drivers must provide their own reliable vehicle and pay their fuel costs.
• Planned daily pickup: a Port City Go warehouse. The warehouse location has not yet been finalized and will be confirmed before any offer.

Pay and performance bonus

• Pay per delivery stop: $1.60 for the first package and $0.45 for each additional package delivered to the same address during that stop. Paid weekly.
• A delivery performance bonus is planned for meeting daily or weekly delivered-package targets. The qualifying target, bonus amount, and bonus payment terms will be confirmed in writing before hiring.

Worker classification, bonus terms, and any benefits will be confirmed in writing before any offer is made or work begins.

Service areas

• Statesville, Hickory, Newton, Conover, and Troutman.
• Salisbury, Kannapolis, Landis, and Spencer.

Route layout

Deliveries are expected to be grouped within neighborhoods in your assigned route area. Routes can cover more than one neighborhood, and stop spacing and daily mileage vary.

Responsibilities

• Load, organize, and maintain custody of assigned parcels.
• Use an approved smartphone delivery app to scan parcels, navigate assigned stops, and capture proof of delivery.
• Safely deliver parcels to homes and businesses throughout the assigned service area.
• Protect parcels, customer information, and delivery records.
• Accurately report delivery exceptions, damaged or missing parcels, delays, incidents, and app or vehicle problems.
• Return undelivered parcels according to the approved process.
• Complete required training and a supervised route-readiness check before independent work.

Requirements

• Current driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Safe driving habits, reliable attendance, and professional communication.
• Ability to use a smartphone, navigation, scanning, and proof-of-delivery tools.
• Ability to safely handle parcels repeatedly during a delivery route.
• Ability to meet lawful, consent-based carrier screening and motor-vehicle-record requirements.
• Prior parcel delivery or courier experience is preferred but not required.
• Personal vehicles are approved for this role.

• This position requires your own reliable vehicle. What type of vehicle would you use for deliveries (sedan, SUV, minivan, cargo van or other), and would it be available on every scheduled workday? Do not provide a VIN, license plate number or documents here.
