Position Summary

We are seeking a Package Designer to create engaging, brand-consistent designs for packaging, print, and digital materials. Working under the direction of the VP of Creative/Art, this role helps translate product features into clear visual communication and prepares accurate artwork for production and use across marketing channels.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple assignments, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design packaging, marketing materials, and digital graphics based on creative briefs and established brand guidelines.
  • Create clear, engaging layouts using typography, imagery, and approved copy to communicate product features and benefits.
  • Create and edit packaging dielines and create digital or physical mockups to support design reviews and presentations.
  • Apply licensed brand guidelines consistently across packaging, print, and digital materials.
  • Revise artwork and maintain accurate files, incorporating feedback and approved changes from the VP of Creative/Art.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork and check layouts, copy, image resolution, color settings, and file specifications before review and release.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and, as needed, printers and vendors to clarify artwork requirements and address routine production questions.
  • Organize assigned projects and files, track deadlines, and communicate progress or potential delays.
  • Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and the ecommerce team to maintain consistent imagery, messaging, and branding across channels.
  • Use AI tools as a regular part of the creative workflow to generate and refine images, graphics, and written content for packaging, marketing, and ecommerce.
  • Produce multiple creative concepts and variations quickly, incorporating feedback and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Review and edit AI-generated work for accuracy, visual quality, and consistency with brand guidelines before final use.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience; experience with consumer products or packaging is a plus.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong layout, typography, and visual design skills across print and digital work; packaging examples are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of print production and artwork preparation; familiarity with packaging dielines is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to complete assigned design work with direction, ask questions when needed, and follow projects through revisions and final delivery.
  • Receptiveness to constructive feedback and a professional, collaborative approach to revisions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain design choices.
  • A collaborative, adaptable approach and willingness to learn new tools and production processes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for image generation and content creation is required.
  • Ability to write and refine prompts, evaluate results, and integrate AI-generated assets into polished designs using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to deliver high volumes of creative work quickly while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
