Packaging Assistant

Job Overview

Alko Fulfillment is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Assistant to support daily packaging, order preparation, and fulfillment operations. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily packaging and order preparation
• Prepare products and materials for shipment
• Select appropriate boxes, envelopes, and protective packaging materials
• Pack items securely according to company procedures
• Verify product quantities and order information before packing
• Apply shipping labels and package documentation accurately
• Inspect completed packages for accuracy and proper sealing
• Organize finished orders in designated shipping areas
• Keep packing stations clean, organized, and properly supplied
• Monitor packaging materials and notify the team when supplies need replenishment
• Assist with sorting and staging products for shipment
• Report damaged products, missing items, or order discrepancies
• Follow workplace safety and product-handling procedures
• Support other fulfillment and warehouse activities as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Basic computer skills are helpful
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift packages during the workday
• Willingness to learn new procedures and tasks

About the Position

The Packaging Assistant helps ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, securely, and efficiently for shipment. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, stays organized, and wants to gain practical experience in packaging, order fulfillment, shipping, inventory handling, and warehouse operations.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
