We’re now looking for a Packaging Design Engineer / Senior Engineer in Thailand to hands-on design and develop complete packaging solutions from initial concept through production-ready design, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on packaging design and development from concept through production-ready design.
• Develop packaging solutions based on product requirements, protection needs, material selection, manufacturability, cost, and sustainability.
• Create accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure all design deliverables are accurate, complete, and aligned with the approved packaging concept and customer requirements.
• Develop and evaluate prototypes and samples to verify fit, function, materials, and packaging performance.
• Review and optimize existing designs to improve performance, material utilization, manufacturability, and cost.
• Support RFQs, technical feasibility evaluations, design reviews, trials, and engineering changes.
• Work closely with Business Development, Production, Quality, and Sourcing to ensure successful design implementation.
• Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during prototype, trial, and production stages.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging design, product design, mechanical design, or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on capability in 2D and 3D CAD design using IronCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA V5, or similar software.
• Good understanding of packaging concepts, material selection, product protection, and manufacturability.
• Knowledge of packaging materials such as wood, corrugated, foam, plastic, and steel is an advantage.
• Experience in creating CAD drawings, BOMs, specifications, prototypes/samples, and production-ready documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and ownership of design deliverables.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
