Packaging Development Manager

Packaging Development

• Develop new packaging based on customer requirements and production methods.
• Coordinate with related parties on project updates, feasibility, new concepts, and technical and cost assessment.
• Liaise with packaging suppliers for new packaging sourcing and development to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and implement new packaging launches from concept to commercialization.

Packaging Sourcing

• Source and develop cosmetic packaging for skincare and makeup products.
• Meet and audit suppliers to ensure packaging quality, cost, lead time, and service.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customers, and SCM to identify new packaging concepts and provide technical and cost control.
• Prepare detailed component and product designs for new product development.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications.

Project Management

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams in Thailand, China, and Korea to ensure project milestones and integration are achieved on time.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, and other commercial matters with suppliers and coordinate with related departments to ensure projects meet standard cost, specifications, and timelines.

Team Management

• Manage and control packaging project timelines.
• Handle costing and pricing issues.
• Provide solutions for customer complaints and supplier-related issues.
• Monitor work efficiency and improve working processes.
• Maintain packaging databases and reports.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, production, and related parties to resolve packaging issues.
• Lead the development of detailed packaging specifications, including standard samples and range boards.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Technology, Packaging Design, Polymer, Chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the packaging field.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Experience in the cosmetics industry.

Knowledge

• Packaging design process.
