Packaging Engineer

▪ Store all packing instructions in the central system

▪ Check if suppliers follow their packing instructions and write Equality reports in case of deviations

▪ Talk with local packaging suppliers to find the best cost effective and sustainable packaging solutions

Train Warehouse Co-workers ▪ Train co-workers how to correct use the packaging material

▪ Train co-workers whenever process improvements have been made as a consequence of quality deviations

Stock Counting And Managing Stocks Of Packaging Materials ▪ Organize cycle count activities in order to count each part at least once every year

▪ Register the result of the cycle count activities and inform the packaging planner

▪ Investigate stock discrepancies and perform stock adjustments

▪ Monitor the stock of packaging materials at the CPC warehouse and at the suppliers who order our packing material

▪ Place orders for packaging materials and follow up of these orders

▪ Organize the return flow of empty returnable packaging to the packaging pool in Rugao

Update functional knowledge: ▪ Stay informed about trends and innovations through company visits, trade fairs, reading professional literature, training, etc., mainly in the domain of control units and other automotive electronics. ▪ Monitor changes in legislation, e.g., cybersecurity. ▪ Keep colleagues updated through briefings during weekly meetings.A9

Work processes: ▪ Transfer and instruct new work processes to ECU staff weekly. ▪ Guide and help perform audit checks.

Job Requirements – What should one know/be able to do for this function? Localization Project

• Degree in Industrial Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience required
• Knowledge of Office365 suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• 6 - 12 months onboarding time needed
• Languages: English and Chinese
• 2 weeks training in Belgium

Social Interaction & Communication

• Internal: Daily contact with Warehouse, Project groups (weekly)
• External: Contact with external suppliers, Occasional contact with end customers via Customer Service (informing)
