PACKAGING ENGINEER

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Design and develop packaging solutions for new products and engineering changes.

2.Prepare packaging specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

3.Evaluate and select suitable packaging materials based on product and customer requirements.

4.Develop returnable and expendable packaging systems.

5.Conduct packaging trials, transportation tests, and validation activities.

6.Verify packaging performance to ensure product protection during storage, handling, and transportation.

7.Analyze test results and implement improvements as necessary.

8.Lead packaging development projects from concept through implementation.

9.Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to meet project timelines.

10.Support new product launches and model change activities.

11.Identify and implement packaging cost reduction opportunities.

12.Optimize packaging design to improve logistics efficiency and warehouse utilization.

13.Support environmental and sustainability initiatives through material reduction and reusable packaging concepts.

14.Investigate and resolve packaging-related quality and delivery issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions for packaging concerns.

15.Participates and supports in all corporate quality, productivity, continuous improvement (Kaizen), 5S, occupational safety and health, environmental activities;

16. Performs other related tasks which may be assigned by the superior from time to time; Performs other related tasks which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

o Education & Years of related experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related field. field

Knowledgeable in MS Applications (MSWord, Excel & Powerpoint);

Knowledgeable in reading Technical Drawings and 3D Drawingso Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in packaging development, manufacturing, logistics, or product engineering is an advantage.

Experience in automotive or manufacturing industries is preferred.Skills: Planning,Nogotiation, Leadership, Problem Solving analysis, Numerical and good communication skills both English and Filipino;

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with CAD software is an advantage.

Ability to relate with people at all levels;

Ability to prepare and analyze reports (including graph).
