Packaging Engineer Executive

Key Responsibilities

1. Packaging Development & Testing

• Continuously improve the packaging development process for greater speed and efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers, through the purchasing department, to source new materials, alternative packaging, or cost-saving options.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to define packaging and product specifications and standards.
• Advise on the packaging impact of material or specification changes.

1. Testing & Analysis

• Test packaging properties and evaluate compatibility with production machinery and processes.
• Analyze and report test results.

1. Documentation

• Prepare, track, and maintain testing requests, experiment summaries, and specification/standard documents.

1. Training & Administration

• Maintain departmental records and train internal teams on packaging testing and design.

1. Compliance & Sustainability

• Ensure compliance with company regulations, policies, and quality systems.
• Support and propose environmental and sustainability initiatives.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Agro-Industry, Packaging & Material Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development/testing.
• Knowledge of packaging testing tools & equipment, basic statistics, and packaging & material knowledge.
• Familiarity with quality systems: ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, BRC, IFS, ISO 14001.
• Strong leadership, coordination skills, and ability to work well in a team.
