About the role

The Packaging Equipment Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and performance of packaging equipment in the factory. The role provides hands-on technical support, leads recurring loss elimination, strengthens maintenance standards, and supports equipment improvements, commissioning, and technical capability building.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for packaging equipment troubleshooting, breakdown analysis, and repeated equipment issues.
• Analyze downtime, minor stops, failure history, spare parts usage, maintenance records, and equipment performance trends.
• Lead root cause analysis for chronic equipment losses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Improve preventive maintenance, inspection standards, lubrication standards, centerline settings, and troubleshooting guides.
• Work with Production and Maintenance teams to reduce equipment breakdowns, jams, misfeeds, rejected packs, and line interruptions.
• Optimize equipment settings and changeover standards to improve start-up stability, run efficiency, packaging quality, and material usage.
• Support maintenance planning, shutdown activities, overhauls, critical spare parts strategy, and vendor/OEM coordination.
• Support packaging equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, performance testing, and technical handover.
• Train technicians, operators, and line leaders on equipment operation, inspection, basic care, troubleshooting, and changeover standards.
• Ensure packaging equipment complies with machine safety, food safety, GMP, hygiene, and engineering standards.

About you

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, reliability, or technical support within food, beverage, dairy, plant-based, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience with packaging equipment and high-speed manufacturing lines.
• Experience with carton packing, case packing, shrink wrapping, conveying systems, palletizing, robotics, inspection systems, coding systems, or packaging automation is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, servo systems, sensors, conveyors, machine safety, and basic automation troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, electrical diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, automation logic, and OEM documentation.
• Experience working with OEMs, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Able to communicate effectively in Thai and English.
