Agro Snow Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, Malaysia, producing pea protein isolate, pea starch and pea fibre.

The Packaging Line is an important part of our finished-product operations and includes automated systems for weighing, bagging, vacuum sealing, bag sewing, coding, check weighing, metal detection, X-ray inspection, robotic palletising and stretch wrapping, while ensuring strict compliance with product quality, food safety, traceability and customer requirements.

Position Levels

1. Senior Packaging Line Operator – 7 to 10 Years' Experience
Responsible for leading packaging shift operations, coordinating manpower, monitoring overall line performance, troubleshooting operational issues, improving productivity and mentoring junior operators.

2. Packaging Line Operator – 3 to 7 Years' Experience
Responsible for independently operating and monitoring the complete automated packaging line while ensuring production, quality, food safety and traceability requirements are achieved.

3. Junior Packaging Line Operator / Trainee – 0 to 2 Years' Experience
Responsible for assisting with packaging operations, inspections, housekeeping, material handling and production documentation while undergoing structured training in packaging equipment, PLC/HMI operation and food safety requirements.

Job Summary

The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining the complete packaging line safely and efficiently to achieve daily production, quality, food safety, productivity and customer delivery targets.

The role requires close coordination with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, Maintenance, Production Planning and Logistics to ensure continuous operation, correct packaging material usage, accurate product identification and timely transfer of finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment through PLC/HMI systems.
• Perform packaging line start-up, shutdown and product changeovers.
• Operate weighing, bagging, conveyors, vacuum sealers, sewing and coding systems.
• Operate check weighers, metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems.
• Operate robotic palletisers and stretch wrappers.
• Monitor bag weight, seal quality, labels, batch numbers and coding accuracy.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting and basic equipment checks.
• Ensure correct packaging materials are available before production, including bags, liners, labels, sewing thread, stretch film and pallets.
• Monitor packaging material usage, losses, rejects and shortages.
• Complete production, traceability and inspection records accurately.
• Coordinate finished-goods transfer to Warehouse and ensure correct pallet identification and traceability.
• Assist in packaging material and finished-goods stock verification.
• Monitor OEE, downtime, packaging efficiency, waste and weight variance.
• Liaise with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, Maintenance and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO, GMP, 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Comply with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal, EHS and LOTO requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement, root-cause analysis and productivity improvement activities.

Senior Operator – Additional Responsibilities

• Lead packaging-line activities during the assigned shift.
• Coordinate manpower and daily packaging priorities.
• Monitor line productivity and equipment performance.
• Support troubleshooting and escalation to Maintenance.
• Train and guide Operators and Junior Operators.
• Support commissioning, production trials and line ramp-up activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Food Technology or related discipline.
• Experience in automated packaging or food manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in powder packaging is highly advantageous.

Experience Requirement

• Senior Operator: 7–10 years
• Operator: 3–7 years
• Junior / Trainee: 0–2 years / fresh graduates may apply

Preferred Industry Background

Experience in any of the following industries is preferred:

Pea protein, dairy powder, infant formula, starch, maltodextrin, food ingredients, soy protein, coffee, beverage powders, flour, spray drying or powder processing industries.
