Packaging Prepress Operator

We are looking for an experienced Packaging Prepress Operator to join our prepress team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking, and finalizing packaging artwork for printing, ensuring all files meet technical, quality, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process packaging artwork for production and printing.
• Check artwork files for dimensions, resolution, fonts, bleeds, colors, dielines, and other technical requirements.
• Prepare files for flexographic, offset, gravure, or digital printing.
• Handle CMYK and Pantone/spot colors, color separations, trapping, overprint, and knockout.
• Work with packaging dielines, cutting lines, creasing, folding, and finishing specifications.
• Create and check print-ready PDFs and production files.
• Review artwork against approved proofs and customer specifications.
• Make necessary artwork corrections and adjustments.
• Coordinate with designers, production, quality control, and printing teams.
• Maintain accurate artwork versions and production files.
• Perform final prepress checks before releasing files for production.
• Troubleshoot artwork and prepress issues and provide timely solutions.
• Follow company quality standards and production procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in packaging prepress or a similar printing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Good understanding of packaging artwork and printing processes.
• Knowledge of color separation, trapping, overprinting, and spot colors.
• Experience working with packaging die lines and print specifications.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in flexible packaging, labels, cartons, or corrugated packaging.
• Experience with Esko or other packaging prepress workflow systems.
• Knowledge of barcode checking and verification.
• Experience with CTP, plate preparation, or digital printing workflows.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,200.00 per month

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:
