What they need

With more than 150 years of industry-leading experience, the businesses of SGS & Co and SGK are uniting to form SGX—a powerful force in innovative packaging production. Building on the legacy of trusted service since 1947 and 1953, SGX will deliver the full suite of packaging graphics, plate and cylinder production, and metal deco services to brand owners, retailers, and printers—all with a focus on reducing complexity, delivering flawless in-market execution, and leveraging global reach to drive consistency and impact at scale.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Packaging & Artwork Project Manager to support packaging development and artwork production for a leading international company in the pet care and pet nutrition sector, working with well-known brands across multiple markets.

You will coordinate packaging artwork projects from briefing and design adaptation through to final print production, working closely with client marketing teams, design agencies, artwork studios, printers, and internal production teams. Attention to detail, effective communication, and consistent follow-up will be essential to ensure that packaging materials are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with brand and regulatory requirements.

You will be part of an international working environment where English is used regularly to communicate with stakeholders across different markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate packaging artwork projects, tracking progress, deadlines, and deliverables across the different stages of production.
  • Follow up with agencies, artwork studios, printers, and internal teams to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Support the development and adaptation of packaging designs for different products and markets.
  • Coordinate the review and validation of packaging elements, including images, marketing copy, ingredient lists, translations, and legal information.
  • Ensure packaging artwork meets brand guidelines, technical specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate artwork briefs and technical information required by pre-press and reprographic partners.
  • Coordinate the delivery of final artwork files to printers and follow up on proofs and print quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, timelines, and digital archives of packaging assets.
  • Support the coordination of packaging translations and approvals with local markets and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets and help ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Identify potential delays or issues and communicate them proactively to the relevant teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of previous experience in packaging artwork, graphic production, pre-press, or project coordination, ideally within an agency or FMCG environment.
  • A good understanding of the graphic production process and packaging artwork workflows.
  • Familiarity with printing processes such as offset, flexography, or gravure, as well as proofing and colour management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and approvals.
  • A proactive approach to follow-up, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication.
  • Good written and spoken English, with the confidence to communicate with international teams.
  • Spanish proficiency; French would be an advantage.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on packaging projects for established international consumer brands.
  • Gain exposure to multiple markets and the full packaging production process.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals in an international environment.
  • Join a team where coordination, quality, and attention to detail make a real difference.
  • Develop your expertise in packaging, artwork, and print production.

Additional Details

  • Location: SGX premises, Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain.
  • Working model: Hybrid, combining office-based and remote work.
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time employment.
  • Start date: ASAP
