POSITION SUMMARY | The Packaging Supervisor leads PPW’s day-to-day Packaging operations, overseeing the people, equipment, and materials required to convert manufactured product into correctly labeled, packaged, and documented finished goods. The role ensures Packaging runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule while preparing finished goods for accurate transfer to Fulfillment & Warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | The Packaging Supervisor is accountable for packaging execution, staff supervision, equipment setup and operation, packaging material readiness, labeling and coding accuracy, quality control, documentation, and finished goods handoff. The role works closely with the Production Manager to maintain packaging schedules, resolve equipment or material issues, and ensure completed products meet PPW’s quality, food safety, and packaging standards.

PACKAGING SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

PACKAGING OPERATIONS

● Manage daily packaging priorities and workflow.

● Ensure products are correctly labeled, coded, and packaged.

● Verify packaging quantities, quality, and records.

● Resolve packaging errors and workflow issues.

EQUIPMENT

● Set up, operate, adjust, and break down packaging equipment.

● Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.

● Identify equipment maintenance and repair needs.

● Train staff on safe and proper equipment operation.

PACKAGING MATERIALS ● Stage labels, cartons, cases, and required packaging materials.

● Monitor material inventory, usage, and shortages.

● Verify correct packaging materials for each product.

● Maintain organized packaging material storage.

QUALITY & FINISHED GOODS

● Verify labeling, coding, packaging, and presentation standards.

● Maintain required packaging and production records.

● Confirm finished goods are complete and ready for release.

● Coordinate finished goods transfer to Fulfillment & Warehouse.

PEOPLE & SAFETY

● Assign work, train, coach, and monitor Packaging Associates.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging area.

● Enforce food safety, sanitation, PPE, and operating procedures.

● Escalate significant issues to the Production Manager.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

● Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

● Packaging or food manufacturing experience beneficial.

● Mechanical aptitude for packaging and labeling equipment.

● Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and detail.

● Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

● Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.

● Spanish language skills beneficial.

COMPENSATION:

$19-$25/HR DOE

Position is FULL-TIME: M-F 9AM-5:30PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
