Packaging Technician

Role Overview: As a Packaging Technician, you will ensure products are packaged safely, efficiently, and meet quality standards. Your responsibilities include operating and monitoring packaging equipment, performing basic maintenance, setting up machines, and preparing finished products for shipment. You will track production, quality, and inventory data using computerized systems, and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Adherence to safety, food safety, and quality procedures is essential, along with maintaining a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
• Set up equipment and feed materials for production.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot routine issues.
• Monitor and record production, quality, and inventory information.
• Handle materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Follow safety, food safety, lockout/tagout, and quality protocols.
• Work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be 18 or older and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Capable of physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, and working at heights.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions.
• Basic computer skills; experience with SAP or maintenance systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Work in manufacturing or production environments.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and holidays.
