About the role

This role involves packaging quality assurance, design, and development. You will inspect and analyse packaging specifications to confirm quality compliance with requirements and customer needs. You will coordinate with relevant departments to test and evaluate packaging suitability with production machinery and processes to ensure packaging and product packing in actual production meets production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, analyse, and verify packaging specifications to confirm quality compliance with requirements and customer needs, and coordinate with relevant departments to test and evaluate packaging suitability with production machinery and processes
• Conduct new packaging design in collaboration with sales and marketing departments or customers, and coordinate with relevant departments in packaging design and development to meet customer requirements
• Coordinate with packaging manufacturers to source packaging and obtain preliminary quotations for submission to sales and marketing to present to customers
• Coordinate with customers, artwork studio houses, packaging manufacturers, and relevant departments to verify and review artwork accuracy and establish packaging standards and print/colour proof standards for quality inspection reference
• Prepare packaging evaluation documents to obtain customer approval for packaging use and establish packaging specifications to control and maintain packaging quality standards
• Analyse packaging quality issues to identify solutions in collaboration with relevant departments
• Maintain and oversee packaging testing equipment and tools

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Packaging Technology, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in packaging design and development in consumer goods manufacturing or trading companies
• Knowledge of packaging materials
• Ability to conduct basic packaging testing
• Understanding of quality systems relevant to the role such as GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485, Halal, and related regulations for cosmetics and medical devices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Meticulous, observant, and creative in thinking
• Able to analyse, correct, and logically conclude experimental results
• Strong interpersonal skills
