Packer and driver

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Packer, Installer and Driver. This dynamic role combines the essential tasks of efficiently packing orders and safely delivering goods to our valued customers. Sometimes installations are needed. Duties

• Carefully pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and protection of items during transit. Inspect products for any faults before placing foam into cushions, filling into pillows, etc.
• Operate various manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklift to load and unload goods efficiently
• Safely load, secure, and transport products using a box truck, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Deliver packages directly to customers’ locations, providing friendly and professional service throughout each interaction
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols before each trip
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements using mobile devices or delivery logs
• Assist with warehouse operations including moving stock, organizing storage areas, and handling materials with manual lifting practices

Requirements

• Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks and moving carts
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with box trucks is preferred
• Experience in delivery driving demonstrating safe driving habits and route management skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques
• Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling standards in the workplace
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries and interactions with clients
• Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, delivery updates, and communication purposes
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively across multiple routes and deliveries

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
