R Owton Wholesale Butchers are a rapidly expanding, local business based in West End, Southampton with a wide-ranging customer base encompassing retail, catering and wholesale clients with a focus on quality products and service. We are seeking Manual Labourers to join our Wholesale Team on a permanent Full-time basis to support the ongoing growth of the business.

The Job Responsibilities:

· Being able to follow verbal and written instructions.

· Physically fit as you're always on the go, packing, labeling, de-boxing and generally supporting butchers to keep the team efficient.

· Being able to work with a team.

· Having good communication skills.

· Being able to use computerised equipment.

· 5 days a week 45 hours a week, Monday – Friday 03:00 - 12:00 (with 2 Saturday overtimes per month - if needed)& 05:00-14:00 Monday - Friday

The Candidate:

· Comfortable handling meat.

· Work efficiently both on their own and as part of a team.

· Being able to use their own initiative and meet time scales.

· Willing to support other areas within the depot when the business needs.

· Ability to stay calm and work effectively under pressure.

· Have enthusiasm, energy and passion.

· Will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Food experience an advantage.
