About the role
A practical, hands-on Packhouse Supervisor – Machine Operations role for the upcoming blueberry season. This is a role where you'll be on the floor, around the machinery and involved in keeping the line running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the packhouse
- Take responsibility for packing, bagging and grading equipment
- Taking the lead on the operation and performance of packhouse machinery
- Setting up, starting, stopping and adjusting machinery for different products and pack specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and making operational adjustments where required
- Identifying faults or emerging issues before they become bigger production problems
- Manage machine set-up and changeovers
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Manage production flow
