Burlington Berries is located at Burlington Farm in the beautiful agricultural hub of Cressy, Tasmania. With a rich history in the horticulture industry, we specialise in growing premium strawberries, raspberries and blackberries for supply to Driscoll's Australia.

We are seeking a Packhouse Yard Foreman to play a key role in keeping our harvest moving. As the link between our harvest, packhouse and transport operations, you'll coordinate the daily flow of harvested fruit, trailers, packaging materials and outgoing deliveries. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, setting priorities and working closely with teams to keep operations running smoothly.

About the Role
As our Packhouse Yard Foreman, you'll be responsible for ensuring fruit, trailers and packaging are in the right place at the right time. You'll help coordinate daily operations between the harvest team, packhouse and transport functions while maintaining a safe and efficient yard environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the movement of harvested fruit, trailers and packaging
• Managing fruit intake and trailer turnaround activities
• Monitoring packhouse capacity and dispatch requirements
• Supporting daily logistics and operational decision-making
• Operating forklifts and handling pallets, field trays and packaging
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact production
• Maintaining safe work practices and equipment checks
• Working closely with harvest, packhouse and delivery teams to keep operations running smoothly

*The role operates on a roster that includes weekend work during the harvest season

About You
You'll be a practical and organised person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of outcomes. You'll ideally have:

·       A current Forklift Licence (required as you will be operating a forklift about 50% of the time)

·       Experience in logistics, warehousing, yard, packhouse or dispatch operations

·       Strong communication and coordination skills

·       The ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing demands

·       A strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency

·       Previous leadership, foreman or coordination experience (highly regarded)
