What they need
Job Summary
Our team is looking for a dependable Packing and Shipping Specialist to join us. This role is incredibly straightforward. You will mostly spend your time receiving incoming small to medium parcels, snapping a few clear pictures of them, and giving the boxes a quick visual check for any obvious damage. That is honestly it. We absolutely guarantee there is zero heavy lifting involved here. You will never be asked to move giant pallets or do any sort of exhausting warehouse labor. Because the daily tasks are so simple and stress-free, this position is a perfect fit for literally everyone. It does not matter if you have a massive resume with years of logistics background or if this is your very first job out of school. We welcome complete beginners with open arms. The environment we built is relaxed. People like working here because the expectations are realistic and clear. You get to sit or stand at a comfortable inspection station, open small shipments, and make sure things arrived safely. We will show you exactly how to do everything on your first day. There are no complicated machines to learn. We just need someone who is friendly, reliable, and ready to help us keep our daily parcel flow organized.
Responsibilities
- Accepting daily deliveries of small packages from our postal carriers right at the front desk.
- Taking clear, well-lit photos of the cardboard boxes or mailing envelopes as soon as they arrive to keep a visual record of their condition.
- Looking over every package closely to spot any tears, crushed corners, or water damage on the outside.
- Keeping your personal inspection table neat, making sure empty bags and bubble wrap go right into the recycling bin.
- Typing a quick note into our simple tracking system if a box looks visibly broken.
- Removing old shipping labels.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail is essential, simply because your main job is spotting little rips, crushed corners, or scuffs on the incoming cardboard boxes.
- Strong Organizational skills will serve you well when you arrange the daily mail on your desk and throw away the empty envelopes.
- Good Time management means you can easily work your way through the pile of small parcels at a comfortable, steady pace.
- Teamwork is important to our company culture; we emphasize strongly that we welcome both seasoned workers and complete beginners, and all the training you could possibly need is provided by your coworkers.
- You need the everyday ability to hold a smartphone or tablet steady to snap a clear, well-lit picture of a shipping label.
- Showing up on time and being a punctual person who is ready to start the shift is a huge plus for us.
- You should be able to safely use a normal pair of scissors to slice open packing tape without scratching the items inside the box.
