Packing Machine Operator

Job Role:

Machine Operators set-up, operate and maintain machinery. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products. Runs smoothly and at capacity.

Main Responsibilities

» Setting up machines to start a production cycle

» Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g., Speed, other Functions & Working)

» Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines

» Functional knowledge and use of Machine Operating (FOCKE-350/550-KS-QS/ GDX1, X2, X3, X6/HLP2-5)

» Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures.

» Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.

» Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box.

» Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift.

» Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift.

» Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.

» Inform the maintenance team to troubleshoot problems during machine operation.

» Perform safety checks on every machine.

» Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.

» Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times so as to avoid shortage during production.

» Loading and placing the prepared commodities in appropriate depot locations.

» Maintaining a report of the total measure of goods manufactured per day.

» Coordinate with QC team for any kind of quality issues and full fill the quality chart given to machine with honesty.

» Perform other tasks and accountabilities as assigned by the line manager.

People Management

» Technical/Operative Improvement and satisfaction in the production,

» Be supportive with another Technician/Operator and keep communicative with them.

» Prepare the daily activities report to share with the Line Manager

Compliance and Risk Management

» Be proactive at all the time while in the shift and make sure no any hazards in the Production line.

» Ensure that set up all the machine function properly and working fine.

» Able to plan, organize and deliver results in time to meet deadline.

» Make sure to follow the health and safety guideline.

» Effective communication and taking instruction.

» Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

» Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.

» Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.

» Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time.

Experience

» 4- 5 years of minimum experience in the Same field of Cigarette Production & Machine Operator.

» Functional knowledge and use of Machine Operating (FOCKE-350/550-KS-QS/ GDX1, X2,X3, X6 /HLP2-5)

Education

» Associate’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
