Packing Operator

Overview

We’re looking to recruit a hard working individual who would like to secure a long term position within our business. Currently we operate three days a week producing pre-cut chips for fish and chip shops.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing machinery and equipment with precision, ensuring proper functioning throughout shifts
• Accurately measure, weigh, and package food products according to specified standards
• Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines to maintain food safety at all stages of packaging
• Conduct routine inspections of packaging to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
