Packing staff

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Packing Staff member to handle packing, labelling, checking, and preparation of FMCG food products for dispatch. The candidate should maintain product quality, hygiene, accuracy, and productivity while following company packing standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack finished FMCG products according to the approved packing specifications.
• Operate and assist with packing and sealing machines where required.
• Check product quantity, weight, packaging condition, and sealing quality.
• Ensure correct labels, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and other required details are properly applied.
• Perform visual inspection of packed products and report damaged or defective packaging.
• Arrange packed products properly in cartons, boxes, or designated storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packing area.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO practices as instructed.
• Assist in counting and recording packed quantities.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Stores teams.
• Follow daily production and packing targets given by the supervisor.
• Handle packaging materials carefully and inform the supervisor when materials are running low.
• Ensure proper handling of food products to prevent contamination or damage.
• Follow company safety rules, GMP, and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain discipline and punctuality during working hours.
• Perform other packing-related duties assigned by the Packing Supervisor or Production Supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: 8th / 10th / 12th standard.
• Previous experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packing, or production will be an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic understanding of product counting and weighing.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours as per production requirements.
• Knowledge of basic hygiene and food-safety practices is preferred.
