About the role

You’ll lead one of our packing teams, coordinating the daily packing schedule and making sure customer orders are prioritised and ready for despatch on time.

With deadlines to meet and priorities that can change throughout the shift, you’ll keep a close eye on what needs to be packed, what needs to move next and where the team’s focus is needed most. You’ll work closely with other departments, respond quickly when plans change and keep everyone clear on the priorities.

You won’t just be supervising from the sidelines. You’ll be part of the day to day action, guiding the team, removing roadblocks and making practical decisions to keep work moving. Your leadership will be key to maintaining a smooth packing flow, meeting delivery commitments and finding better ways to organise the work

What You Will Bring

You will be a hands on supervisor who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems and managing changing priorities in a busy manufacturing environment. You communicate clearly, lead by example and know how to bring people together to achieve the required standard.

You will also bring:

·         At least 12 months experience in a manufacturing environment

·         The ability to lead, support and develop a team

·         Strong planning, prioritisation and practical problem-solving skills

·         Clear communication skills and confidence working with people across the business

·         Strong attention to detail, including accurate record-keeping and confidence with numbers and technical information

·         A commitment to health, safety, quality and continuous improvement, with the flexibility to work rotating shifts

·         Forklift licence desirable but not essential

Roster and Conditions

The successful candidate will work a rotating shift roster, with overtime required from time to time to support plant operations. You will need to be physically fit and, as part of our recruitment process for this safety-sensitive role, the preferred candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.

This role works rotating shifts:

·         Currently four 10 hour shifts per week

·         At times five 8 hour shifts, depending on operational needs
