PACS/ RIS Support Engineer

PACS/RIS Support Engineer Role Overview We are looking for a PACS/RIS Support Engineer to provide technical support for radiology imaging systems in a hospital environment. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining applications, and ensuring smooth radiology workflows with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System). Troubleshoot issues related to image acquisition, storage, and reporting workflows. Perform checks when modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray) fail to send images to PACS. Investigate user-specific issues (e.g., radiologist unable to view images, incorrect patient details). Resolve PACS/RIS connectivity problems including DICOM and HL7 communication. Check and validate AE Titles, IP addresses, and port numbers for DICOM communication. Diagnose and resolve application slowness, disconnections, or workstation access issues. Collect logs and diagnostic information before escalating incidents. Coordinate with radiologists, radiographers, technicians, and hospital IT teams for issue resolution. Ensure data confidentiality and uninterrupted radiology operations. Document, escalate, and close PACS/RIS incidents following hospital protocols. Required Skills Hands-on experience with PACS/RIS systems in healthcare. Strong knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and medical imaging workflows. Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting. Good communication, incident management, and coordination skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues in a clinical environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting PACS/RIS in hospitals or healthcare setups. Familiarity with radiology workflows and interaction with clinical staff. Certifications in healthcare IT or networking would be an advantage.

Pay: Up to ₹23,000.00 per month
